Privacy policy

All the information you provide on our forms remains confidential. We take great care to protect it and guarantee you that it will not be sold, rented, exchanged, or transmitted to any third party.

From time to time we use this information to keep you informed and let you know about our sales, promotions and special offers. If you prefer not receive this kind of information, please let us know by email.

Satisfaction policy

All the merchandise we ship to you must meet with your satisfaction. If it does not, please call us immediately. To make an exchange or receive a refund, return the product to us within 30 days of purchase, along with a copy of the invoice. Only unused strings can be refunded or exchanged. Broken strings returned to us in their original envelope may be exchanged if we detect a manufacturing defect.

Payment methods

If you order by telephone from Canada or the United States, you can pay by Visa or MasterCard. You will be billed in Canadian dollars on the day the merchandise is shipped, unless otherwise requested.

We also accept cheques and money orders made out to Wilder & Davis Luthiers Inc. Your order will be shipped as soon as we receive your payment.

Customs charges

For certain products shipped outside Canada, customs charges may be levied when they enter your country. Wilder & Davis Luthiers cannot predict whether there will be charges, nor how much will be levied. Since charges vary according to the product and the destination country, we suggest you contact your country’s customs department directly for information.

Applicable taxes depending on where you order from

  • Québec: GST (5%) and QST (9.5%)
  • British Columbia: HST (12%)
  • New Brunswick, Ontario or Newfoundland: HST (13%)
  • Nova Scotia: HST (15%)
  • Anywhere in Canada other than British Columbia, Québec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland or New Brunswick: GST only (5%)
  • United States or another country, no taxes apply.

Guarantees for instruments and bows

Instruments

Wilder & Davis guarantees that any instrument it sells is in stable condition, is free from defects and has been set up to the highest professional standard. 

For two years from the date of purchase, Wilder & Davis will repair an instrument free of charge if the instrument develops or is found to have any defects, including defects of the angle and projection of the neck, depression or sinking of the table, deformation of the ribs and any other structural defect.

Note: Cracks caused by the instrument’s being stored in excessively dry conditions and damage resulting from neglect or abuse are not covered.

For six months from the date of purchase, Wilder & Davis offers free lubrication of pegs and gluing of seams if needed.

Bows

For six months from the date of purchase, Wilder & Davis guarantees the camber and straightness of any bow it sells.
